Our Story

Free Her Voice was born from the ashes of silence, forged in the fire of resilience. Its founder, a survivor of trauma and abuse, had her voice silenced by the very system meant to protect her and her children. Accused of kidnapping her own kids while trying to seek refuge and support, she found herself jailed and further traumatized by the legal system's failure to hear and protect her.

Through Free Her Voice, she reclaims her narrative, using her experience and education to advocate for others who've faced similar struggles. The platform is a testament to the power of finding one's voice after being silenced, and it serves as a beacon of hope for those still trapped in the darkness of abuse and systemic injustice.

We believe in empowering survivors to heal and rebuild safe, independent lives by amplifying their voices and providing comprehensive support.

Christina Marsh, Director & Survivor

As a transformative practitioner, innovative educator, and entrepreneur, I bring a unique blend of experience and expertise to my role as Founder and Director of Free Her Voice.

With a background in law enforcement, education and business management, I began my career as a Broward County police dispatcher, serving for a decade.

After becoming a mother to a medically needy son, I transitioned to education, becoming a 5th-grade science inclusion teacher while studying and practicing holistic healing.

After the birth of my daughter, I expanded my educational endeavors, opening a private school that served children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Over time, my school evolved to include aftercare, summer camps, and state-approved food programs. Throughout my journey, I've remained committed to personal and professional growth.

As a PhD student in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, I've developed expertise in creating innovative solutions to complex problems. My experiences as a survivor of domestic violence and systemic injustice have fueled my passion for advocacy and social change. Free Her Voice was born from my own struggles and triumphs.

After being silenced by the system and facing unimaginable challenges, I found my voice and determination to create a platform where others could do the same.

Through Free Her Voice, I aim to empower survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and trauma to reclaim their narratives, find support, and heal. With a proven track record of innovation and leadership, I'm dedicated to creating a community that fosters resilience, hope, and transformation.

My goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who've been marginalized and silenced, offering a path toward healing, justice, and freedom.
